We’re thrilled to share to keep up with growing demand we’re expanding production of our Canadian Classic Infant and Organic Infant Formulas to one of our trusted partner facilities in Europe—where many of our beloved formulas, including more of our Classic range, are already made. This expansion allows us to reach more families while maintaining the exceptional quality, wholesome ingredients, and care you know and trust. This expansion includes our Canadian Kendamil Classic Infant Formulas in 800g and 1049g (available at Costco Canada), as well as our Canadian Kendamil Organic Infant Formula in 800g.
You’ll notice that all Canadian formulas are transitioning to a “Made in France” label. This change will take time, so there may be a period where different tins are on shelves—some with the previous label and some with the new one. Rest assured, the formula inside remains the same high-quality Kendamil you know and trust.
A Commitment to Quality and Ingredients
At Kendamil, we’re committed to supporting your little ones with high-quality, wholesome nutrition. Our Canadian Classic and Organic Infant Formulas will continue to be made with European milk from trusted European farms—just as it always has been! Our R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams are involved in every step of the process, ensuring every tin meets the same world-class standards you know and love.
What’s Different on the Labels and Tin?
We understand that even minor updates to the label can raise questions. Here’s what you need to know about the updates:
Kendamil Canadian Classic Infant Label Updates:
-
-
-
- Skimmed Milk: Now labeled to reflect we’re using the liquid form rather than powder.
- Oils: 'Sunflower, Coconut, Rapeseed' updated to 'Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Rapeseed Oil' for clarity.
- Alpha-Lactalbumin: Alpha-lactalbumin levels were increased to enhance the natural concentration of L-tryptophan, an essential amino acid that plays a role in baby’s growth and development. The label position remains unchanged—only the amount has been updated to reflect this improvement.
- Calcium Source: Now Calcium Phosphate, another common source of calcium in infant formula, offering the same nutritional benefits.
- Nutritional Panel: Adjusted to align with Canadian labeling requirements, with minor changes in energy units and fat values.
- The top cap is an updated cap which no longer displays the Kendamil logo. We currently have a few lid styles in circulation as we transition to a more user-friendly, consistent design based on customer feedback.

Will My Baby Notice Any Changes?
Some little ones may notice slight variations in taste and texture. The taste might be slightly less sweet and creamy, and the appearance may be paler and finer due to a different heating process. However, the texture and solubility should remain consistent. If you notice any changes, simply swirl or shake to reconstitute.
How do I know if my can is from your partner facility and how can I transition my child?
You will find an icon on the back of the Canadian Classic Infant Formula and Organic Infant Formula cans in 800g (available at Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart) and 1049g (available at Costco) indicating our partner facility location in Europe (France). While most babies won’t notice a difference, we recommend a gradual transition over 7-14 days to allow your little one’s digestive system to adjust. Start with midday feeds and avoid bedtime feeds initially. By Day 5, all feeds can be fully transitioned to Kendamil. You can read more about this in our transition guide.
