A little piece of the Lake District,
from our family to yours.

Kendamil has always called the Lake District home.

It’s where our story began, where our home factory and center of excellence are based, and where many of our team live and work.

Generations of local knowledge and expertise have shaped the way we make formula and the standards we hold ourselves
to today.

Come have a look around!

Welcome to our little corner of England!
From historic landmarks and local favorites to the factory we call home, there’s plenty to discover in Kendal. Explore the people, places and traditions that make our hometown so special below.

Kendal Factory

The heart of our Kendamil home.

Welcome to our home in Kendal! Nestled on the edge of the Lake District, our factory is where generations of local expertise meet our passion for making quality nutrition. It’s more than just where we work. It’s where our people, our heritage and our commitment to families come together.

Kendal Mint Co.

A taste of Kendal tradition.

You can’t talk about Kendal without talking about Kendal Mint Cake! This famously sweet local specialty has long been associated with outdoor adventure, and Kendal Mint Co. proudly carries that Cumbrian tradition forward from its home right here in town.

Kendal Town Hall

At the heart of Kendal.

Standing proudly in the center of town, Kendal Town Hall has been part of local life since the 19th century. Inside, the town’s heritage collection tells an even longer story, including Kendal’s original 1575 Royal Charter and pieces connected to centuries of local history.

Kendal Castle Ruins

A little local history on the hill.

Perched above town, the ruins of Kendal Castle have watched over this corner of Cumbria for centuries. Built around 1200, it became home to the Barons of Kendal and is famously associated with the Parr family, the family of Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s sixth and final wife. Today, the ruins offer one of the best views across Kendal.

Kendal Marketplace

Where the heart of Kendal comes together.

There’s nothing quite like a local market! For centuries, Kendal’s marketplace has been a gathering place for the community, bringing together local traders, makers and neighbors. From fresh produce to handmade goods, it’s a celebration of the people and traditions that make our little corner of England so special.

The English Lake District - UNESCO World Heritage Site

Our rather extraordinary backyard.

The landscapes surrounding Kendal aren’t just beautiful. They’re internationally recognized! In 2017, the English Lake District was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its remarkable cultural landscape, shaped over centuries by farming, communities and the relationship between people and the land. We’re incredibly proud to call its doorstep home.
