No nasties: because the ingredients in our Kendamil Organic formula are organic, they are free from GMOs, herbicides and pesticides. The organic milk we use is also screened to make sure it’s free from antibiotics. We never include palm oil, added soy, or corn syrup so our formula is as wholesome as your little one.

MFGM: our organic formula is made with natural milk fats that naturally contain MFGM, a complex mixture of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates that forms a protective layer around the fat globules in milk. HMOs & Prebiotics: our organic Kendamil formula also contains HMOs, which are unique long chained carbohydrate compounds found in human breast milk. Some HMO structures play important roles in protecting gut epithelial cells, immune function and are linked to the growth of healthy gut bacteria. Our farm to formula process
- One of the unique things about Kendamil is the fact our factory receives fresh deliveries of liquid whole milk daily.
- Rigorous tests are done before we accept the milk onsite, and once delivered it goes through even more tests in our laboratory to make sure it is of a high quality.
- Once pasteurized it then goes through a spray drying process to take it from wet to dry, where it is then blended with other vitamins, minerals and ingredients to become the final formula powder our parents know and love.
- More quality and safety checks are done in our state of the art lab that we have onsite, to make sure the composition of the formula meets our high standards. We also then take a certain number of cans off the canning line to verify the safety and quality of each batch we produce before the cans of formula head off to a shelf near you.
Our farming standards
- We partner with European family-run farms who produce organic milk for our Kendamil Organic formula. Some of these farms have been passed down through the generations and we’re proud to be supporting this farming community.
- The farms we source our whole milk from are certified organic by the UK Soil Association, which have some of the strictest standards when it comes to animal welfare and use of pesticides. They were one of the original founders of the global organic movement and developed some of the world’s first organic standards.

Our heritage
- For over 60 years our factory in Kendal, here in the English Lake District, has been making infant formula. You could say it’s in our DNA! Some of our individual experts at the factory have been working here for over 40 years, which brings a whole wealth of knowledge and experience that is unparalleled. It is our team’s expertise that helped formulate the recipe that is Kendamil Organic today.
- Another secret to our recipe is the fact we’re a family-run and family-owned business, this allows us to listen and adapt to the needs and wants of the families who choose to feed their little ones with Kendamil. Ross and his two sons Will and Dylan are at the heart of every decision and it is their mission to provide families with a high quality formula families can trust. Because we’re independent, we can think in terms of generations of family, rather than financial quarters.
What’s new with Kendamil Organic?
More families than ever are choosing to switch to Kendamil Organic, so in order to keep up with demand we’ve brought on some new organic dairy farms to help increase our supply. We’ve made a couple of updates to the label on our Kendamil Organic formula recently, let’s take a look at what we’ve updated:
You may note that our latest cans of Kendamil Organic are not labeled as vegetarian certified or Kosher. While the overwhelming majority of the ingredients in our Organic formula remain vegetarian and Kosher, some of the new farms and milk processors we’ve partnered with to keep up with demand require a bit more time to become certified. With that said, our goal is of course to restore our vegetarian certified and Kosher accreditations as soon as possible. You may have also spotted the addition of ‘Low Erucic Rapeseed Oil’ as a footnote to the ingredients section on the label. Rest assured; it is the same rapeseed oil ingredient. The additional information is to further clarify the type of oil it is and comply with FDA labeling requirements.
